Choosing your Wedding theme

We all want our wedding day to be different from other weddings that we may have been to , every wedding needs the bride and grooms own personal touch, to make it truly special.

Before you begin your wedding planning, you need to think about choosing your wedding theme. Deciding on a wedding theme makes the whole wedding planning process much easier, it not only gives you a target to aim for, it also means that you know what you want, which can save you a lot of time and money.

Your wedding theme can be pretty much anything, as long as it brings out your personal taste and reflects both of you in some way. Your theme can be based on your favourite colour, your favourite film, your hobbies , or even the place where you got engaged .

The Seating Plan

The seating plan may sound like the easiest task, when in fact it can be the most difficult and stressful, depending on your family relationships. Friends are a little easier little easier to seat, unless some really dont get on!

Here are a few tips to help you put your seating plan together.

The top table should consist of the bride and groom, bride and grooms parents, the chief bridesmaid and bestman.
If parents are divorced and have re-married, it is only polite to seat their partners on the top table too. If this is all a bit too much or maybe a bit stressful, forget the top table all together and seat everyone with their own family and friends. You can then have a top table for just the two of you.
Seat work colleagues together
Seat family together as long as they all get along.
Seat friends of similar ages and/or have the same interests together.
If you have guests attending that don’t anyone else, seat them next to someone that it quite friendly and chatty that can make them feel comfortable.

Keeping your up is most likely the best option for a beach wedding, if there is a bit of wind it will keep it from blowing in your face and it will keep you cooler in higher temperatures.

Decorate you wedding with a splash of colour

Whilst planning your wedding day you’ll find that most venues will supply you with plain white table cloths and white plates, cups and saucers etc, work with this and add one vibrant, bold colour to go with it. Don’t over do it though, decorate your wedding with a splash of colour for each table.

Bright electric colours are a big trend at this year; so bright pink, green, blue or yellow used sparingly will really enhance your wedding venue. For example an all white base colour with bright green bows ties on the backs of chairs, green centrepiece arrangement and green favours.

For room decoration, flowers in the bright colour of your choice, mix in a few white flowers to add contrast, finish with bright silk ribbon to decorate.

Less can definitely more with bright colours and will make a big impact.

A great alternative to flowers, why not base your wedding around fruit, many ideas are simple and easy to create yourself. Take a look at theses fruity wedding ideas

Centrepieces made of fruit -

Lemons and limes or apples are great choices, these can be arranged to tall glass vases or fruit bowls.
Strawberry towers, cover strawberries in milk and white chocolate
If you have to have a bit of floral then add rose heads in between your arrangements.
