Styles of Wedding Photography

Your pictures will be there as a reminder of your special day for years to come, so make sure you choose the right style of wedding photography for you!

Take a look at the different types of photography available before you visit your photographer, so that you know exactly what your looking for, remember that not all wedding photographers will do the same styles.

Romantic – Traditional, romantic shots are excellent if done to a high standard and quality.

Reportage – This style of wedding photography is very popular. Photographers who specialise in this look are focusing on capturing those impromptu moments to create a story book feel of the wedding.  From the morning of the wedding when you and maids are getting ready to the groom eagerly waiting your arrival.

Black and White – I love black and white photography, with the right dark and light contrast this look can be simply stylish.

Hand Tinting – This style can be very effective, it is a special technique that takes black and white shots and adds splashes of colour, for example; only the bouquet is in colour in a black and white shot.

Digital Images – With all the new technology around these days, most photographers tend to use a digital camera.  Computers allow for editing and removal of any blemishes and red eye.  Colours can be changed and different effects added.
