Bridal shops are not the only places to purchase your dress, here is a list of ideas, for your wedding dress buying, that could save you a tonne of cash!
- Bridal Shops – the most obvious, are great as you can try as many dresses on as you wish, and have advise and guidance of the sales person, but tend to be the most expensive.
- Online – A way of finding a dress, all you need are your measurement details as well as the designer name and style number, if you already know what you are looking for. You can save around 20 %- 30% compared to bridal shops. In most cases you will need to have the dress altered , so don’t purchase something twice your size just because its cheap, you may find that the costs go up considerably in altering.
- Bridal warehouses – These are stores which offer dresses that you can buy off-the-rack, for prices much cheaper than bridal shops, the advantage of this is that you have your dress straight away, without the worry of whether or not your dress will arrive on time.
- Sample Sales – Many bridal shops and designers have sample sales twice a year, where they sell their samples that have recently expired. This option is not as cheap as the above two, but you can still save quite a bit money.
- Rent – If you don’t mind not owning your wedding dress, you can hire one, just be sure that you check what the policy is for any alterations that need to be made.
- E-bay or second hand shops – Again if your not too worried about wearing a dress that someone else has worn, take a look on e-bay or second hand shops and save a tonne of money, that can be used towards another part of your wedding!
